The Las Vegas Review Journal reports is squashing reports from rival the gossip column at The Las Vegas Sun that had Britney Spears being offered to sing the national anthem at the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 7th, a day after her performance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Norm Clarke says the offer was made by the speedway in early December, shortly after her March 6th concert at the MGM Grand was announced. “They called back a couple days later and said that she politely declined,” said Jeff Motley, public relations director at the speedway.
