Britney Spears rocketed 65 places to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart on Thursday with ‘Gimme More’. The tune is the singer’s first top 10 hit since ‘Toxic’ in March 2004 and marks her best showing on the list since her smash debut ‘…Baby One More Time’ hit No. 1 for two weeks in 1999. ‘Gimme More’, the first release from her new album schedule for a November 13th release, sold 179,000 downloads. Topping the charts was ‘Crank That’ by Soulja Boy.
