The Mirror profiled Britney Spears with the singer in the UK to kick off the European leg of her ‘Onyx Hotel’ tour. They write, “Her management are desperately trying to remodel her as an, ahem, “adult artist” in the face of falling record sales. Her job is to create publicity. This isn’t too hard – Britney smokes, Britney dyes her hair, Britney buys a burger, Britney opens (and very quickly closes) a restaurant – anything she does is news. Her chances of leading a seemingly normal life seem slim.”
