Among those mentioned were Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Pink, Nelly Furtado, and Alicia Keys. Carlton described with frustration of what’s big in the music industry, “There are these middle-aged men running the industry, and they’re like, ‘Let’s give ‘em what they want – a hot chick!
