Calgary Sees 1,500 Try Out For Canadian Idol

The Calgary Sun reports 1,500 Canadian Idol hopefuls who lined up in front of the Metropolitan Centre yesterday morning for a shot at fame. Alicia Goodwin was one of the hopefuls. “As much as you like these people, you have to size up who you’re competing with,” said Goodwin. Her performance impressed Canadian Idol’s casting people enough to earn her a yellow sheet of paper that let her advance to a second audition later that day. Unfortunately, the next round didn’t go so well. “I was more nervous than I first thought I’d be,” she said.
