A political group called Campus Progress is making Justin Bieber the star of a new ad to help get people to vote. HLN’s Kareen Wynter reported on the news, talking with The Washington Posts Alexandra Petri, who says she’d rather some sit the election out if worrying about the Canadian pop star’s future is their main motivation. “I sort of want to start my own sort of counter-campaign to say, you know, if you’re one of those people, and you see this ad and you earnestly think the best reason to go out and vote is because it will impact Justin Bieber`s future, just do us all a favor and maybe don’t vote,” she said about the 16-year-old who is too young to vote and isn’t a U.S. citizen anyway.
