Canadians Want To Be American Idols

Bill Brious of the Toronto Sun has a problem with CTV’s plans to bring the ‘American Idol’ franchise to Canada and call it ‘Canadian Idol’. Brious said, “How can you have a show called Canadian Idol in a country that doesn’t have a star system? Besides, Canadians don’t want to be Canadian idols. Canadians want to be American Idols.”
