‘Can’t Hold Us Down’ Censoring Draws Protest
A petition to get MTV to change its mind and play the Christina Aguilera video ‘Can’t Hold Us Down’ featuring Lil’ Kim has been posted. The petition states: “I really don’t think it’s fair that you see artists like D’Angelo NAKED and Typical male artists having strippers and half naked women in their videos, and then Christina makes a sort of Racy video and they tell her to edit.” The petition has since been removed.
