Carrie Underwood is this year’s ‘American Idol’, defeating Southern rocker Bo Bice in the show’s finale Wednesday night. The Associated Press reports that the singer said country music is where she intends to make her name. “That’s where my heart is. I feel like that’s the music that’s the most pure. And the people, the artists, are so nice. … Those are the people I want to be among,” she said.
