Carson Daly Ruins Avril Lavigne Special

Contributed Anonymously:

Last night, I attended the New Year’s Eve Special of Carson Daly in New York City. They were prerecording an appearance by . First of all, Carson Daly should not be around anymore. He is very unprofessional. The attendees were told to be there by 9pm and the “show” started at 10:30. Avril and her band came out and played 2 songs. During the first, an ambulance came by with the siren and during the second, it was interrupted by a store’s Christmas light display with very loud music. You could tell that Avril was very disappointed with the performance and the crowd even heard her ask Carson if she could play again. Carson said no, it’s fine and sent her on her way. She looked very upset but there was nothing she could do.

He kept the crowd standing there for an extra half hour and kept putting one finger up, as in to say one minute. All the audience wanted to know was if we were done. I left and while I was walking away, I walked by a part of the setup where you could see Carson talking into a mic (which the crowd could not hear) and I overheard him saying, “And the crowd is standing here like something is going to happen”. Carson, we were standing there because you made it seem like there was more. Your show should be cancelled because other then being just a horrible host, you are just very unprofessional. If you have any thoughts about going to see his show, I am warning you now. Don’t have high hopes. He waved once to the crowd and kept shaking like he was freezing. He was outside for maybe 20-30 minutes while most of us were outside for 2-3 hours. Carson, have some respect for others so you’re going to lose your job.
