The Las Vegas Review Journal reports KISS-radio, FM 101.9 is sponsoring “KISS Cares Freedom Fest” on October 25 at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay. Performing at the show include Jessica Simpson, Willa Ford, Christina Milian and Sarina Paris.
Following the terror attacks in the United States on September 11, many music acts have cancelled or hinted to cancelling planned trips to Australia including Janet Jackson, Jessica Simpson, and Alanis Morrisette. Janet says she’s stopped touring and “remains concerned about the foreseeable future”.

The Backstreet Boys were one of the few acts to continue their concert schedule following the terrorist attacks against the United States on Tuesday with the first of three scheduled performances at the Air Canada Centre. While some wondered if the group should perform, BSB decided to go on while one U.S. dollar from each ticket sold to all three Toronto shows would go to the American Red Cross’ U.S.A. Appeal Relief Fund.
AJ returned to New York to perform for the first time since his rehab stint. NY Daily News writer Isaac Guzman reports McLean told the crowd, “I want to thank you for allowing me some time to myself to get better. Today is 62 days sober. It’s like having a birthday every day. It’s wonderful.”
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Brian Littrell joined the Commodores onstage during their Saturday performance at Chastain Park.
Littrell was their with wife Leighanne at had taken a seat near the stage when the group invited him up to perform the group’s hits “Brick House” and “Three Times a Lady.”
The event was hampered by a slight rain preventing a sellout, but the surprise appearance by Littrell no doubt made up for the weather.

Britney Spears has recruited Making The Band stars O-Town to open for her gigs on the first leg of her tour that begins October 26 in Miami at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
O-Town is continuing the headlining shows at fairs, amphitheatres and a few clubs before the Spears tour.
