Floyd Mayweather has come to the support of his famous friend Justin Bieber, stating he supports the Canadian pop singer in wake of footage showing a 15-year-old Bieber saying the N-word while telling a racist joke. Floyd writes:
Justin has been nothing but kind to me, my daughters and sons over the years. We all make mistakes when we are young, it’s part of growing up. I am proud of what he’s doing as a 20 year old musician and business man. #TMT
In wake of The Sun releasing a video of Justin Bieber making a racist joke years ago, reportedly filmed during the 20-year-old pop star’s “Never Say Never” documentary years ago, Bieber has issued an apology. The clip features a smirking Bieber asking: “Why are black people afraid of chainsaws?” before issuing the insensitive punch line: “Run n—–, n—–, n—–, n—–, n—–,” as if imitating the sound of a chainsaw.
Bieber’s apology states:
As a kid, I didn’t understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance.
Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs. Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologize again to all those I have offended.
I’m very sorry. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake. I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and to not make that mistake again.
Ignorance has no place in our society and I hope the sharing of my faults can prevent others from making the same mistake in the future. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to say but telling the truth is always what’s right.
Five years ago I made a reckless and immature mistake and I’m grateful to those close to me who helped me learn those lessons as a young man. Once again….I’m sorry.

California singer songwriter Jenny Lewis is set to release her new album ‘The Voyager’ via Warner Bros. Records on July 29th. The former Rilo Kiley frontwoman will drop her first album in six years, following 2006’s ‘Rabbit Fur Coat’ (with The Watson Twins) and 2008’s ‘Acid Tongue’.
‘The Voyager’ is Lewis’ most deeply personal album to date, documenting her struggle to cope following the death of her estranged father in 2010 and the subsequent break-up of Rilo Kiley.
“Making ‘The Voyager’ got me through one of the most difficult periods of my life,” Lewis explained. “After Rilo Kiley broke up and a few really intense personal things happened, I completely melted down. It nearly destroyed me. I had such severe insomnia that, at one point, I didn’t sleep for five straight nights. Many of the songs on ‘The Voyager’ came out of the need to occupy my mind in the moments when I just couldn’t shut down.”
The track-listing for ‘The Voyager’ is as follows:
She’s Not Me

Joey Fatone tells Wonderwall that he was just joking when he told the Huffington Post the Backstreet Boys are touring again because “they just need the money.” BSB’s Nick Carter responded to the comment on Twitter, saying, “Just disappointed, I really liked Joey… I’m proud of who we are and love what we stand for. Truthfully its about not letting our fans down. Sorry bro but you have us all wrong.”
Speaking at KIIS-FM’s annual Wango Tango concert at the StubHub Center in Carson, California earlier this month, the *NSYNC star clarified, “It was all a joke. It was all nothing but my sense of humor.” As for Carter’s hurt feelings, Joey said, “Nick is awesome. He’s great and the minute it happened, I sent him a text and said, ‘You know I’m joking, right?’ And he said, ‘I actually played into it.’ I didn’t think it was going to come out the way it did.”
