Hayes Was Told To Find Another Day Job After Savage Garden Breakup

Hayes revealed, “‘You’d better find another day job’ — that was the message I was getting with the band breaking up. But I feel so free now. Posh Says Spice Girls Can’t Win On Breakup Reports

, aka Posh Spice spoke with Sky TV about the status of the Spice Girls after the release of her own solo work. Posh said, “A lot of people are saying ‘Have you split up? Haven’t you split up? If we came out and said to everybody we’ve split up, everybody would say ‘we knew that anyway and what do we care’ so we can’t win whatever we say. What we’re saying is the truth. We are working on solo material and maybe at some point there will be a greatest hits.”

Katrillion reports has named the three top actresses that inspired her own move into film. Britney said, “I really love Audrey Hepburn. I think she’s great. And I love Goldie Hawn. What That Janet Jackson Dressing Room Thief Took

Salon.com reports New York City 19-year-old Mario Backman that was arrested for attempting to steal items from ’s show at Nassau Coliseum was caught with Jackson’s “Hello Kitty” and Valentine’s Day Minnie Mouse plush toys, an FDNY hat and some fan mail. Jackson’s manager, Jamie Mendoza, made the citizen’s arrest before calling police.

Nelly Furtado Compares Britney Spears To Campbell’s Soup Kid

Scott Batiuk of Slamm spoke with to get her thoughts on . Nelly revealed, “ is kinda like the Campbell’s Soup kid. Andy Warhol would have loved her, ya know? She’s become an icon of some type of- I don’t know. She almost represents globalization, commercialism in a way. But not in a bad way. That’s just what she is and I think that’s what her appeal is. It’s like the Campbell’s Soup kid. Who knows if it’s evil or good, but it’s there, and somebody’s connecting to it. Musically- I don’t know.”

Nelly Furtado Enjoys Her Diverse Audience

Jimmy Magahern of the Phoenix New Times spoke with who gushed about her “awesome” and diverse fanbase. Nelly said, “There’s every nationality, every color, every ethnicity. Every type of person is at my show. It’s really, really cool. It’s really cool.” Furtado also touched on the FHM photo controversy saying, “I make my decisions for myself and my fans, so when somebody else makes a decision for you, I think you have a right, as an individual, to let people know the truth about what’s really going on.”

Darren Hayes Explains His Solo Album

spoke with Channel V in Australia to talk about life as a solo artist after leaving Savage Garden. Darren said it took him about a year to make this album where he wrote 35 songs. Darren insisted he didn’t want to imitate the sound of his old group but he didn’t want to go so far as making an album sounding exactly the opposite of Savage Garden.

Janet Jackson Was First Choice For Super Bowl Halftime

Entertainment Weekly reports that U2 played the Super Bowl halftime show for free, even though the NFL was willing to pay them but they didn’t want any money. Also performing without pay were Mariah Carey and Paul McCartney, though they did get their travel expenses paid for. Organizers had originally wanted to do the halftime show but changed their mind after watching a U2 concert in New York following the events of September 11.
