Lee DeWyze is out with the album artwork for his ‘What Once Was’ release, which features old material from the ‘American Idol’ season nine winner. Lee was signed to WuLi Records, who is releasing the album, before being released from his record contract to compete on the hit FOX show. ‘What Once Was’ features music from Lee from 2006 to 2010 and is out February 14th.
Hot Chelle Rae is out with a brand new hit album, single, and celebrating an American Music Award for “New Artist of the Year.” Walmart Risers sat down with the guys to get the inside info, discussing their collaboration with New Boyz on ‘I Like It Like That’, the organic filming of the song’s music video at a Walmart parking lot, the inspiration for their ‘Tonight Tonight’ single, how all the songs on the ‘Whatever’ album are a story of the ride they’ve been on the past year, how the band met, an internet imposter inspiring the band’s name, touring with The Script, and keeping in contact with fans via Twitter.
“We said that ‘Tonight Tonight’ was inspired by one night of being crazy, and ‘I Like It Like That’ was basically like a year of those nights,” frontman Ryan Follesé explained. “Nashville is like a really fun town where we’re from, it’s filled with honky tonks and music and tons of musicians, and it really is a testament to the way that we live and how we are and how much fun we like to have when we’re not working our butts off.”

Amanda Fondell is out with her debut single ‘All This Way’. The song is the title track off the season eight winner of Sweden’s ‘Idol’ competition’s debut album, out now on Universal Music. ‘All This Way’ was written and produced by Arnthor Birgisson and ‘Idol’ 2004 runner-up Darin Zanyar. Trace Cyrus has announced the first item launch from his new winter line, a t-shirt collaboration with sister Miley Cyrus. The former Metro Station member started southern Made Hollywood Paid in 2009. Music and fashion were always Trace’s two true passions in life and Hollywood gave the 22-year-old the opportunity to meet the right people and allow him to live out his dreams.
“I have always had a love for fashion and the opportunity presented itself to have a clothing company of my own and I really wanted the name of it to represent me,” Trace explained. “That is why I decided on Southern Made Hollywood Paid. I feel it tells a lot about my life, my story, and me. I love any way to express myself and that’s why I started SMHP.”

Cody Simpson took a break from recording his full length album that will be released in 2012 to pose for the first time with his look-a-like doll from The Wish Factory. The doll will be sold exclusively at Toys”R”Us in December and can be pre-ordered at toysrus.com.
“I’m really excited for the release of my doll at Toys”R”Us this holiday season,” the Australian pop singer said in a press release. “When things like this start to happen for an artist, you know that your career is moving in the right direction. I’m truly thankful for all of my fans. Without them, opportunities like this do not exist.”
Cody Simpson recently traveled to Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas for a performance at the Atlantis Theater.
