CBS Denies Paying For Michael Jackson Interview

Several sources denied claims by the New York Times that CBS executives shelled out $1 million to ’s interview with Ed Bradley on ’60 Minutes’. “CBS News does not pay for interviews and did not pay or anyone connected to him for this interview, directly or indirectly,” CBS News spokeswoman Marcy Erhard tells The New York Daily News. Jackson adviser Charles Koppelman also insisted the singer wasn’t paid any money at all for the interview. “The deal was the deal, there’s only one payment,” he said referring to the earlier entertainment contract.
