Michael D. Clark of the Houston Chronicle was on hand at Monday’s *NSYNC concert at the Compaq Center. Clark said good things about the show in comparisons to his thoughts on their PopOdyssey stop eight months earlier. Clark wrote, “As a listening experience, it was certainly better in the Compaq Center than in the cavernous Reliant Astrodome. Visually, this show wasn’t the fantasyland of PopOdyssey, but it was easier to separate the group’s artistry from its props. Most importantly for *NSYNC, Celebrity 2002 is a more mature show, an important step if the group plans to keep appealing to the more than 13,000 fans at Compaq as they get older.”
