Chantal Kreviazuk checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Monday (December 14) as her tour in support of ‘Plain Jane’ winds down. The Canadian singer tells readers:
I am sitting in a lounge-type room at the venue in Medicine Hat. There is a piano in here, and I feel like if I sat at it, nothing would happen. I think that I am prepared to play tonight’s show, and knowing that at that point, the tour being over and all, I have nothin left for now. I am sure there is a subconscious defense mechanism thing going on – rejecting playing music, or inspiration or whatever….because I am probably mildly depressed that its coming to an end. It wasn’t a long tour, but wow…such a wonderful bunch of people, and it was all so perfectly timed…..played some shows, went to Costa Rica and reunited with tons of family and friends, had the vacation of a lifetime, renewed my vows, shared it with the whole nation…..some more shows….. It was 5 or 6 weeks, but I feel like so much happened within that time; a really solid and meaningful chapter in my life unfolded.
