Joe Baltake of the Sacramento Bee reviewed Mandy Moore’s new movie ‘Chasing Liberty’. He writes, “Movies don’t get more disposable than this one. That’s not to imply that it’s bad – just depressingly ordinary. Sitting through it, I found my mind wandering. As one forgettable moment followed another, I thought that someone probably spent a better part of a year writing its script, that some studio executive read it and liked it enough to give it the go-ahead, that actors auditioned for it and that Moore sat up nights learning her lines and thinking about her character’s motivation. Locations were scouted, caterers were hired to feed the cast and crew, and journalists probably visited the set. In short, a lot of time, talent and money was spent on a film that probably no one will really care about.”
