Cheryl Cole’s troubled brother Andrew spoke with The Mirror about the Girls Aloud star’s efforts to get him back on the right path, visiting him in jail, where he served time for a robbery/assault. “I’ve never been any good at talking face-to-face, but I want her and the rest of my family to know that I’m grateful for all their support and for standing by me when they should have dropped me a like a stone,” said the 28-year-old, who has a record of more than 50 court appearances. “I watch Cheryl on television and think, ‘Your life is so different to the one you left behind.’ She tells me I should be inspired by what she’s done and that I can turn my back on booze and violence.
