Sky News reports Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy, 19, has been charged with racially aggravated assault after an incident in a nightclub, Surrey Police said. A spokeswoman at Staines police station said: “A 19-year-old woman has been charged with an offense of racially aggravated actual bodily harm following an incident at a Guildford nightclub on January 11th. Cheryl Tweedy, of Newcastle, was charged with the offenses when she returned to Staines today (Thursday) on bail. She has been on police bail following the incident in the early hours of January 11th at The Drink nightclub.”
