Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy and soccer star Ashley Cole didn’t marry at swanky Wrotham Park on Saturday as previously had been expected, the News of the World can reveal. The £1million bash, paid for by a OK! magazine, was only a blessing. The couple had actually married on Friday in a low-key ceremony attended only by family and close friends. The sham didn’t make Cole’s World Cup teammates happy, with David Beckham, Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand skipping the event. “I wanted to celebrate Ash’s big day but not if I had to be in that cheesy mag,” an England star complained. “A lot of the boys were not happy about it. It was felt that it was a load of showbiz bullsh**.”
