Choosing 15 Songs A Difficult Decision For Shakira
Shakira took part in an online chat with MSN.com visitors on March 29th. Asked about the status of her new album, she responded, “I was actually making a list yesterday of the songs I’ve written in total and there’s about 60. I like about 45 of them so it would be very difficult to only choose 15. I don’t know what songs won’t make it to the album, it depends, I change so much over the years I don’t always continue to identify with songs I’ve written. Sometimes it’s difficult because I’ve grown in a different direction to sing the same song.”

I love this girl…She is truly talented. My husband is Spanish and tells me “Now she has true sex appeal, unlike other songbirds that are only just trying to and are not succeeding”.
First of all. I am glad to see that she has taken interest *;:as usual:;* to pick the songs that she wants to debut on her next c.d. I quote that she has “written 60 songs”… wow… finally some artist besides Christina, decides to write her own songs. Shakira has shown the whole world that she is capable of pretty much anything she sets her mind to… Her 1st language is Spanish… she learned English, and for her to conquer the skill of writing lyrics in a whole new language… She became a very good friend of Gloria Estefan, her husband Emilio, and their son Emilio Jr. () She actually cares what songs go on her cd. () They offered to write or TRANSLATE her lyrics to English, and she refused. Now this is what I consider a true artist.
I was wondering what happened to Shakira. She doesn’t just co-write her songs, she writes her entire cd. Plus she plays instruments, sings, dances, she does it all. She doesn’t claim to be a true artist, she is a true artist. This women is freakin fabulous.
I cannot wait until her CD drops. The only thing that bothers me about Shakira is when she comes out taking swipes at other artist. But there is something “fabulous” about her. She is a total and complete package, the girl does it all and she does it with style.
1. Her first language is Spanish (you got that right) 2. Her second is Armenian (so for her to dominate English so well is even more impressive) 3. She also plays instruments (guitar, and harmonica) on her albums 4. She was having Gloria Estefan translate her lyrics and then decided to do it herself because she felt some of the soul was lost otherwise. (that was a big fight with Gloria)
SHAKIRA IS THE SH**! SHE PUTS ON THE GREATEST SHOWS. I ALWAYS look forward to Shakira’s music and tours because she’s different from pretty much everything else that it’s out there. She’s completely unique and original. Not to mention her incredible writing skills. I love her!
At least she keeps things interesting. It would be a sad place if everyone had a perfect sounding voice and sounded just like each other. I think her voice makes her unique. Personally..I can’t wait for the album.
