The Chicago Sun-Times reports Ben Affleck’s mother Chris has refuted reports the paper ran that she was concerned over her son marrying Jennifer Lopez, due to her less-than-successful marriage track record. Ben’s spokesman, David Pollick said, “I don’t know where this whole thing started, because the item is really inaccurate. Stuff like this is hurtful, not only to Ben, but his mother as well, because it’s completely false. He’s a public figure, but she is not and should not be fair game [for the media].”
