Christina Aguilera A Follower?
Pink was interviewed in the November issue of Blender magazine and was asked about Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful,’ an outsider anthem penned by M!ssundaztood cowriter Linda Perry. Asked if the song never would have happened without her influence, Pink responded, “You’re really looking for something right now, aren’t you?” After much deliberation, she has a response. “Certain people are leaders, other people are followers,” she says carefully. “Some people have original ideas, some people market themselves after other people’s original ideas. I happen to be a leader, and I always have been since kindergarten. But then, I’ve been influenced by other people too, and some small part of me thinks it’s a compliment. They won’t admit it publicly, but they obviously like what I do.”
