Christina Aguilera: I’m A Great Role Model

WENN reports that has spoken out against her critics, proclaiming herself a “great role model”. Aguilera stated, “I consider myself to be a great role model, but everyone has their own idea of what a role model is. When I was showing my navel some years ago, some people thought that was too much and that’s so minor compared to a lot of the things that I’ve done now. But I’m a grown woman and I have a mind of my own. I’m not forcing anyone to dress or act like I do, but this is what I consider my art and my form of release and I think it’s beautiful. People who are threatened by that are just very closed minded.”

Christina is a strong independent woman that knows what she wants. She is a great role model. Hell yeah!! Go Christina!

I’m not a big fan of Christina but she IS kinda of a good role-model, it’s just the whole slut thing..but her song “Beautiful” wasn’t so bad. she just needs to learn to put some clothes on.

It bothers me how Christina always pats herself on the back. She compares herself to Van Gogh, calls herself an artist all the time, and now says she’s a great role model. These are things OTHERS should say about you.

No Cicero please. Who’s life is it? I hate people who live for others and what people say, you congratulate yourself and love yourself because its your life. So true, I am at a point in my life where I don’t really give a 2 sh** what others think because I know I am doing the right thing. I try to make good choices, I take others opinions and advice into consideration but at the end of the day you make the decisions because its your life.

I wouldn’t consider her a great role model, but she is definitely a great performer and one of the greatest voices in the music industry. No doubt about that.

Christina’s a great role model cause: 1) She was willing to stand up for herself and change her image even though lots of people said she shouldn’t. (I mean if she wants to look like a prostitute then she should be allowed to and if she’s happy good for her) 2) She has been through a lot of crap and so is an inspiration. 3) She is incredibly talented. 4) She isn’t afraid to admit she likes sex (cos shock horror humans were designed to like sex so as we would always reproduce and the race would never go extinct.) 5) She doesn’t make a big deal out of wanting to be a virgin when she gets married and then goes and says that the mayor of somewhere (can’t remember where) needs to get laid. (uh Britney learning from your own experience-is that why you’re such a crabby bitch because nobody will have sex with you) need I go on

I believe that she’s a great role model musically from the songs she sings about woman empowerment, self-love, etc. And as an artist and an individual who is becoming more comfortable with herself and her sexuality, that’s pretty good too. But what bothers me is the name calling. She don’t have to call people closed minded just because they disagree with her form and views of art. People have opinions and a mind of their own the same as she does; not everybody is gonna agree with her and of course she’s not always going to agree with them. But all in all, I am a little convinced she’s a role model; she’s pretty smart and wise about herself and her ambitions in life.

Christina’s a great role model for abused, neurotic, overweight and sex crazed people…They too can grow up to be famous dirt bags.

I think Christina Aguilera is a great Role Model because she is Outstanding, Great and Awesome. Women can be just like her one day and become famous people.
