Ernest A. Jasmin of The Tacoma News Tribune reviewed the ‘Stripped & Justified’ tour stop at the Tacoma Dome on Sunday (June 8). Jasmin said of opening act Christina Aguilera: “Throughout her set, Aguilera showcased a vocal range that sets her head and shoulders above pop peers like Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson. It was most notable during the a capella introduction of her ballad ‘Beautiful’ and a pair of Etta James songs, ‘At Last’ and ‘I Prefer You’.” As for Justin Timberlake, “Backed by a tight band, the *NSYNC frontman stuck mostly to tunes from his solo debut ‘Justified,’ with highlights including ‘Right for Me,’ ‘Senorita,’ ‘Nothin’ Else’ and the Britney Spears jab ‘Cry Me a River.’ He also threw in a few *NSYNC hits, like ‘Girlfriend,’ for good measure.”
