The Glasgow Daily Record reports that while playing her only Scottish gig in Glasgow at the end of October, Christina Aguilera found time to throw her backing behind the Scottish Executive’s domestic abuse campaign. Christina literally lent a hand to the hard hitting campaign by providing a handprint and some signed artwork for an exhibition that will be launched in Scotland this summer. She says, “Any campaign that raises the public’s awareness of the issue of domestic abuse is worthwhile and I am pleased to support the Scottish Executive’s campaign. My own experience has shown that you can survive after going through terrible times at home and I give my utmost support to those women and young people living with the threat of domestic abuse. I understand that there is a strong support network in Scotland and the government here raises awareness of how and where to get help. Don’t suffer in silence because help is out there.”
