Ratethemusic.com reports Christina Aguilera refuses to take to the stage until she’s performed a prayer ritual with her musicians, dancers and backing singers. “Right before I get on stage, I gather my band and dancers in my dressing room, we hold hands, and my bass player leads us in prayer,” Aguilera said. “I say my personal prayer or sometimes I’ll lead the prayer. That’s the single most important thing I do before I perform.”

And the irony is she strips of her clothes on stage! I like her music though, the chick is mad cool but I am just stating the obvious.
^^^ I know! I don’t understand how she can pray, then go off and dry hump women in a bikini and chaps. Popstars…*sigh*
Even thought the rest of the world seems to think she’s a heathen.. she’s a spiritual and religious person at heart.. and that’s all that matters. Only God’s judgement matters… I think it’s pitiful to witness a “christian” judging another person.. last time I checked.. Jesus Christ is the only human who is perfect.
I don’t see how that’s ironic. How does the way a person chooses to dress onstage reflect their religious beliefs and whatnot?
dry hump women? well that’s interesting, because she never even dry humped the pole in her concert. and do you actually consider what she wears stripping. I mean booty shorts, cat suites, and fishnets stalkings aren’t necessarily stripping. the only thing that is considered mildly provocative in the concert is chaps. but underneath it is practically a one piece bathing suit. I mean it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. but truly, she focuses on her voice which causes people to go mad and practically become hostile and jealous towards her…for no reason. I’m glad she prays. it’s not like GOD doesn’t love us no matter what we do.
Let me take back my statement, my definition of religion which goes to that of the bible, is not necessarily what others may consider the extent of the religious beliefs. My comment was generalizing and I am sorry but its more of my opinion towards religion. Not everyone is going to believe the same thing.
The fact that she even thinks of praying only makes her a better person. we can’t live without god. I mean god blessed her with her amazing talent….it’s only right to thank him every chance she gets to use her incredible voice.
She really prays before performing. I’ve seen her do that in her first concert when I was watching this Christina Aguilera special on TV.
It is just all apart of her performance, and she doesn’t actually strip down to nothing, I mean she is always wearing something. Other Celebrities (BSP) not to mention any names though, wear even more provocative stuff while performing, so you can’t criticize her for doing that.
