Christina Was Going To Save ‘Miss Independent’ For Later

Christina Aguilera’s mother Shelly Kearns revealed on the Xposed forums that ‘Miss Indpendent’ was going to be saved by her daughter for a future album, but the “producer who worked on the song with her went behind Christina’s back and sold it to [Kelly Clarkson]. Now Kelly had no idea that this guy was doing something dishonest. How could she know he was selling her someone else’s property?” As for why it didn’t appear on her latest effort ‘Stripped’, Kearns explained, “She wrote many songs, and you can only fit so many on a CD. Some had to be chosen, and others she decided to save for later. ‘Miss Independent’ was one of those to be saved for later.”
