Clay Aiken Added To Broadway Production Of ‘Spamalot’

The Associated Press reports Clay Aiken is set to join the cast of the original New York production of the Tony winning ‘King Arthur’ send-up ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot’ on January 18, 2008. The ‘American Idol’ season two runner-up will play Sir Robin, described as “a cowardly knight well versed in the world of musical theater.” Aiken said of the role, “I really couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful group of people to work with. Let’s not lie, the chance to work with legendary creative minds like Mike Nichols and Eric Idle is, on its own, a reason to jump at this opportunity.”
