From ‘American Idol’ runner-up to ‘American Music Awards, winner, Clay Aiken won an American Music Award in the Fans’ Choice category on Sunday night. Aiken said in his acceptance speech, “I’m not really used to winning anything here. I’m used to second place. Wow, I have been amazed over the past five months at the support of some of the most amazing fans in the country. [Cheers and applause] I could not have asked for a more supportive group of people and I thank all of the fans so much for putting me here today. And this opportunity and giving me this opportunity, thank you to Clive Davis and Simon Fuller, Vanessa, and John and my mom and everybody, thank you so much, especially to the fans and thank you God so much for this opportunity.” Later in the broadcast, Jennifer Lopez won Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. Lionel Richie and Paula Abdul accepted on J.Lo’s behalf.

FORTUNATELY, THIS AWARD IS PICKED BY A SAMPLE OF RECORD BUYERS SO THAT MEANS THERE ARE A LOT MORE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO APPRECIATE HER, THAN THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO BUT HATE ON SUCCESSFUL ARTISTS!
J.Lo was booed and for good reason. Her win was a complete joke as was Aiken’s. Last night showed to the world exactly why the industry is so f**ked up right now. The only highlight was OutKast. Thank God for OutKast.
Yeah, we are all jealous haters. That doesn’t change the fact that she was booed! And even when she wasn’t even there! Tsk, Tsk! I am sorry, but not everybody is jealous of JLo, and it is sad that that kind of sentiment is the only way you can defend her.

My point exactly… I am not bitter at all. I didn’t even watch, and I don’t care one way or another if my “Idols” didn’t win. Frankly, none of these artists are my idols, I don’t care about any them that much for them to BE my idols. I like their music, but I don’t idolize them. Therefore your constant jealousy arguments are moot. And the fact that you would stoop to call people names and say the your just jealous crap just says that you are the bitter one.

I was like ooh clay! haha… I was shocked he won. but its all good. as for the j lo thing…i didn’t hear boos. but y’all need to know, winners were based on votes by the fans and record sales…not necessarily TALENT. so yeah, J.Lo can’t sing the greatest, but she’s got a large fan base that buys her records…and that’s why she won!
