Clay Aiken 'Tried And True'

Reuters spoke with in a Q&A, asking the ‘American Idol’ season two runner-up if he still watches the hit FOX singing competition. “No, I haven’t watched it in years,” Aiken confessed. “I stopped watching it in the third season because it stressed me out too much. 1. Haley says:

I stopped watching when Clay was robbed of the win.

  2. Sooze says:

I stopped watching in 2006 and have never looked back. As the show became more slick and showcased professionals, it completely lost its charm for me.

    Nice picture! Thanks!!

  3. katy says:

Hmmmm the picture is nice!! I quit watching it also. It is so manipulated. AI has become a bully and too big.

  4. Pat says:

Well, he’s not missing anything. The show has gotten really bad over the past few years. I’m glad it brought him to us, though, he is one fantastic singer, puts on a hellova show. Can hardly wait to see him in concert when he tours this year.

  5. Sandi says:

I made it through Season 4, then quit watching too. It’s just too aggravating to watch. In a way I’m glad Clay did not win. I think he was better off and now he’s free of them.

  6. Mimi says:

Thanks for posting the wonderful picture of Clay Aiken. The pictures for this album have been fabulous.

I stopped watching AI a few seasons ago. It is a shell of what it was and the fun and excitement is gone for me!!

Funny, I still get excited about Clay Aiken.

  7. MolliLu says:

Clay should have been able to make albums like Tried and True right after he came off Idol. That’s the Clay we all feel in love with and are now finally getting to hear that VOICE again. I stopped watching idol too, became to predictable and to many seasoned contestants. The innocence was lost.

  8. Judy says:

I stopped watching AI after Clay. The only other time I watch it…is if Clay is on…So.AI3 for 1 song, and then AI5..for the finale.. That is it.

Thanks for the lovely picture of Clay and the article. His CD “Tried & True” is absolutely wonderful…I can’t stop playing it…

    Hugs,
    Judy

  9. Jessica says:

    Wow great picture!
I stopped watching idol years ago because I found the judges comments so repetitive and boring.
Love his new CD Tried and True.

  10. DB says:

I quit watching when Simon finally got on my last nerve, about mid-way through season 4.

  11. Luluasst says:

I’m not surprised that he hasn’t watched the show. Millions of Americans have turned to DWTS instead. They should’ve kept Paula. Anyway…onward Clay! You have the most top 10 CDs of ALL the idols with this release. Go on with your bad self!

  12. Roma says:

Can’t say that I blame him for not watching. I don’t either.

  13. Barbara says:

Wow! Clay is looking mighty fine. I stopped watching AI when it became all about the judges and no longer about the talent.

  14. Jan says:

Love the photo! I don’t watch American Idol either.
They have taken away the innocence of it.

  15. mimi says:

Clay’s season was the best, every year AI gets more and more boring.

  16. ImGranny says:

I don’t care much for Idol now. I am grateful that we found Clay Aiken on that show, but in later years it started to lose it’s luster. Also, the judges get on my nerves! LOL

  17. lulu says:

Idol has become a vehicle for professional performers who need/want the exposure that idol gives. It likes to pretend and give the appearance it’s an amateur show and they will let the viewers decide. Not really.
