Music industry consultant Tom Vickers tells USA Today he thinks ‘American Idol’ finalist Clay Aiken is a pleasant, comforting singer, with potential as a new Barry Manilow. “Clay’s got charisma, confidence, warmth, and he’s able to laugh at himself,” he says. “For years, everybody has said you have to be hip and cutting edge.
