Clay Aiken’s longtime backup singer Jacob Luttrell has left the ‘American Idol’ season two runner-up while on their national holiday tour. Clay wrote on his official fan club, “Unfortunate news. It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that, due to a personal issue that is very important to him, Jacob Luttrell will no longer be performing with us on tour. Jacob has been an important part of our close-knit family for the past two years. He is loved by us all, and his presence and extraordinary talent will be sorely missed. But our show will go on. All of us wish him the best in his future endeavors. I encourage you to continue to support Jacob’s solo career. You may visit his website at www.thevocalcornerstore.com.”
