Concert Forces Robbie Williams To Miss World Cup

Robbie Williams is complaining to the Daily Star about missing out on World Cup action this weekend due to his ‘Close Encounters’ tour stop in Dublin on Saturday. “I just want to make people smile and clap and sing along, but I’d still rather be at the football,” he said. “If I could choose I’d play football for the masses rather than be a musician, no two ways around it. The World Cup is the ultimate stage, after all.”
