While sources close to Jessica Simpson say the singer/actress was fed up with her husband Nick Lachey’s partying ways and his refusal to join her family in Texas for Thanksgiving, Lachey’s friends tell People magazine that account is not accurate. Following dinner with pals at an eatery in Los Angeles on November 22nd, one pal revealed that Simpson blindsided the 98 Degrees star on their return home. “She said, ‘I don’t know if this is working. I want to file for divorce,’” the source revealed. “He was shocked. Nick was saying, ‘There are things we can do to work on this, and isn’t this worth fixing?’ And the answer was no.”
