‘Australian Idol’ Cosima De Vito is financing her debut single ‘When the War is Over’ with help from her parents and a bank loan after failing to secure a major record deal. De Vito tells The Herald Sun she bears no grudges towards Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll, Paulini Curuenavuli, Rob Mills and even Courtney Act, who all scored major deals out of ‘Idol’. “I’m happy for everyone,” she said. “We all went into Idol with a desire to sing and perform, and it’s great that everybody has gotten that opportunity. It just wasn’t meant for me, that record deal.”
