Jo O’Meara Bottled At S Club Gig

The Sun reports Jo O’Meara of the partially reunited was bottled on stage during her show with Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole at Tokyo nightclub in Bradford, England. The singer was taken to a hospital to get treatment on the two inch gash, which didn’t require stitches. The man who threw the bottle was arrested. “The 25-date tour has been a huge success with every venue selling out,” the group’s rep said. “We have a full diary until the end of the year, and have a larger tour booked in for May-June 2009. This incident will not affect the rest of the tour.”

John Mayer To Host A Weekly Variety Show On CBS

TMZ hears that thanks to his appearance on their site earlier this year, CBS execs were impressed enough with the singer songwriter that they offered him a weekly variety show, in a ’60s style music, variety and sketch format. CBS would like the show to start Q1 2009.

Betsy Gleick from People magazine visited ‘The Early Show’ to talk with co-host Julie Chen to discuss what kind of offer the Disney show ‘Hannah Montana’ made to Sasha & Malia Obama, and what their parents had to say about it. While saying the offer is true and Billy Ray Cyrus confirmed they made the request, Betsy said it’s hard to imagine given how protective Barack and Michelle are of the girls, even though they are big fans of the show and its star .
