VV Brown Goes Bowling

appeared on the C4 show ‘Freshly Squeezed’, visiting a bowling alley with some friends and discussing her single ‘Crying blood’. “It was written on my one string guitar, because I was really broke,” she said. “I’m not really a guitarist, so I took off all the strings and just had the bass note, and I used my nail varnish to show the fingerings.” VV added that she wanted to create the contradiction of sad lyrics and an upbeat melody, because otherwise it’s cliché. Lance Bass Surprised To Still Be In ‘Dancing With The Stars’

posted his latest diary on UsMagazine.com as he continues to compete in ‘Dancing with the Stars’, resuming tonight on ABC. Lance tells readers:

I was really surprised we made it through to the semi-finals, because I thought we were going home last week. Len [Goodman] gave us the lowest score out of all the couples, and he really influences how viewers vote. He basically tells America if we’re good or bad. When he gave me a 7, I thought it was over. Getting voted through just tells me that the fans really want to see us stay. I know I’m not the best dancer in the world, but I finally feel like everyone’s for me now, instead of against me.

Shayne Ward Apologizes For Missing Children In Need

updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Monday (November 17) after being unable to attend the BBC Children in Need 2008 charity broadcast over the weekend. ‘The X Factor’ season two winner tells readers:

I would like to apologize to all of my fans in Northern Ireland for not being able to attend Children In Need on Friday night. I was unable to attend as I had a commitment in England which unfortunately clashed time-wise and I was unable to make it back to Northern Ireland in time. I even tried to get a helicopter last minute to rush across for the end but I was told that they couldn’t fly, believe me I tried everything!!

I hope to see you all soon at my Irish dates over Christmas. I will make it up to all of you and we’ll have a great night at the shows!

Love to you all

James Morrison Kicks Off Tour In Norwich

updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Monday (November 17), after performing the first date in support of his new album ‘Songs for You, Truths for Me’ at the University of East Anglia on Sunday night in Norwich, England. The singer songwriter tells readers:

So, back on tour, it’s been a while. First date was Norwich UEA, a venue I’d played 2 years ago but returning made it feel like yesterday. A really good gig, nice and sweaty, not too big.

I was really nervous because it was the first one and Martin Harley had played a great set to open the night.

The crowd were really up for it and there was a great mix of people… even though there were two really tall guys with beards who looked really intense.

Anyway, I think everyone loved it.

I managed to forget some of the lyrics but everyone seemed to find it as funny as I did, so no harm done.

Jada Respond To National Anthem NFL Network Beeping

checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace on Monday (November 17), after last week’s performance of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’, aired on the NFL Network, and apparently with some technical issues. The Boston girl group tells readers:

So as most of you know we sang the National Anthem at the Patriots vs. Jets game Thursday night. It was awesome! The crowd was super excited which only made it that much better for us cause they went crazy at the end of the anthem. I don’t even know why we keep singing at the end cause the crowd is so loud that nobody can even hear us anyway! Just Sayin’!

It was supposed to rain like all night but it held out for us, woohoo! That would’ve been interesting with us holding umbrella’s while we sing the anthem.

Anyway, after we sang and we got back into the dressing room we all had like a million texts from people who say us on TV. And then we found out that apparently there was some weird technical difficulties that made that bleeping noise while we were singing. You know that bleeping noise that they use when people are swearing and they aren’t aloud to say those words on TV. Well now there are people assuming that we were swearing during the national anthem!! Come on people! Some individuals have even gone as far as saying that we are ‘Anti-American,’ now if that’s not ridiculous I really don’t know what is. Lol!

Check out the beeping below.
