Matt Nathanson “Digging The Sh**” Out Of New U2 Album

checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Thursday (November 12), sharing his opinion on U2′s new album ‘No Line On The Horizon’. The singer songwriter tells readers:

I’m sitting in my kitchen, listening to the new U2 record.
And just digging the sh** out of it.
It is so good.
The album is a whole.
An event.
53 minutes and 41 seconds of moment.

To me, U2 spent the 2000s chasing a parade they used to lead.
They made collections of songs, not albums.
And from a band that made ‘War,’ ‘Unforgettable Fire,’ ‘Joshua Tree’,
‘Achtung-FU**ING-Baby!’… even ‘Pop,’ I expected more.
I expected journeys…
(not to be confused with Journey. Who fu**ing rule, btw.)
Not just songs strung loosely around a few singles.
I’m not saying the new record is perfect…. it isn’t.
But what is so kick ass about it is…. THE ALBUM IS THE STAR!

and the band made a quick stop at Lake Tahoe to take in the stunning scenery and also put on a gun show – of the biceps sort anyways. “This is the perfect medicine perhaps, when you’re touring and on the road, just take 10 to 15 minutes to stop and enjoy what the universe has given us,” the Canadian singer songwriter says in the clip. Chantal Kreviazuk Survives Tour Bus Accident

checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Thursday (November 12), talking about a scare while on the road after her tour bus drove off the road. The Canadian singer tells readers:

So I woke up to a very disconcerting feeling….all sorts of glass breaking and the feeling that we were tipping over. Cuz, I guess….we were!

The bus went off the road. I am assuming the driver fell asleep. He told the first person out to the front lounge that he stopped to go pee and misjudged the side of the road, but then told my tour manager that he avoided a car that was oncoming and had crossed the median. Either way, its been a long night, not gonna lie, I’m a little miffed. Takes a lot to get me upset. It’s generally a pretty big love fest out here for me. I have only slept an hour and a half, and you know, my safety was compromised. The safety thing- pretty big for me. I am a mama of 3 kids. Its funny…. I have hit the bottom of my spinal tap ceiling!
