Adam Lambert Comments On ‘GMA’ Cancellation

Adam Lambert

was on the phone with KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday (November 24), commenting on news ‘Good Morning America’ canceled his appearance following his racy American Music Awards performance Sunday night. “Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It’s too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me,” Lambert said. The ‘American Idol’ season eight runner-up added, “I don’t feel I owe anyone an apology for anything. I performed, it was late-night TV, I did something that female performers have been doing for years, no different. It’s just the fact that I’m me and it’s a little different for people. It’s really not that big of a deal.”

‘American Idol’ Alums Weigh In On Adam Lambert’s Performance

Adam Lambert

Us magazine spoke with several ‘American Idol’ alums about ’s racy performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday, with season three’s Jon Peter Lewis being the one not offering encouraging words for the effort. “All this nonsense about ’s whole project being art is bogus,” he told Us. “That idea is absurd. It’s like calling Thomas Kinkade art. What a sham.”

But season one finalist said the performance meant a lot to him. “We need this, and we need him,” the openly gay singer said. “We need to have him out there – he’s a gay pop singer from America. But I am torn — I just don’t know if I would have done that kind of performance for my first nationally televised show. I think had he done it at a more intimate club environment, it would have gone over a lot better.”

Hawnay Troof ‘Said Once’ Video

(Vice Cooler) is out with the music video to his new single ‘Said Once’. “The video for “Said Once” started out as a horror film idea between myself and Joey Mansfield,” Cooler says. “We had a narrative by October 2009 but hadn’t shot anything. We had bought a really minimal security camera from this local weirdo who calls himself Cowboy Joe who sells weird junk he finds out of his truck at the swap meet. He’s pretty Bay Area in the sense that he thinks he is a cowboy and never bathes. Once we did some test shots we asked him to star in it. Fortunately he agreed and I have to say this successfully comes out as a very creepy clip.” ‘Said Once’ was directed by Vice Cooler and Joey Mansfield, and assistants included Sean Nieves, Ari Fish and Ricky Marler. Tyler Hilton: I’ve Never Been Happier In My Career

checked in with fans on his official web site blog on Monday (November 23), talking about his birthday the prior day and completing his new album. The singer songwriter tells readers:

I’ve never been happier to be exactly where I am in my career…which is strange, cause, where am I? I don’t have a record out yet, I don’t have a movie or TV show I’m working on. But this feeling of completing something that took so much time and all for the purpose of doing good work so as not to ask for yours and your friend’s attention only to sell you something I could’ve done better, but instead something that took all of these 26 years to make and is worthy of all that time!….this feeling is great. I haven’t gone to college yet, so next to completing regular school, this record has taken more time then anything else I’ve ever done in life! Ha! And there’s how young I am.

Adam Lambert Discusses His Racy ‘For Your Entertainment’ Performance

’s man-on-man kiss and a provocative head-to-below-the-belt dance moves during his ‘For Your Entertainment’ performance at Sunday’s ‘American Music Awards’ had the west coast censors scrambling to edit. But was Adam’s kiss with 28-year-old keyboardist Tommy Ratliff planned? ‘Access Hollywood’ correspondent Shaun Robinson spoke with the ‘American Idol’ season eight runner-up backstage at the event in Los Angeles.

Asked about what ended up to be editing of his performance for west coast viewers, Lambert said, “If it’s edited, that’s discrimination. I will be a little disappointed because there is a little bit of discrimination going in this country. There’s a big double standard, female pop artists have been doing things provocative like that for years, and the fact that I’m a male, and I’ll be edited and discriminated against could be a problem.” Watch the interview below.
