Deborah Gibson Phones In To The Kellogg Krew

The Kellogg Krew on 94.7 WMAS Springfield, Mass talked with Deborah Gibson the other day. The pop singer discussed her first song written at 5 years old – ‘Make Sure You Know Your Classroom’ – which she performed a bit of. Gibson also talked about performing as a kid with Ricki Lake, her songwriting process, and whether she prefers pop music or Broadway. “I like both because I like the discipline and the regimine of Broadway and I like playing a character, and after a while you go, ‘I want freedom’, and pop music is the ultimate freedom, so that’s why I’ll never go without both in my life.” Listen to the interview below.
