Delta Goodrem Inspires Teen Cancer patient

A 15-year-old battling the same cancer as Delta Goodrem has turned to her pop idol for inspiration in the fight of her life. Aspiring singer Amanda O’Brien tells the Herald Sun Delta’s courage in the face of Hodgkin’s disease spurs her on in her own battle.
“I love her,” said Amanda, whose bedroom is dotted with posters of the pop star. “Seeing her on the news saying ‘I will get through this’ and being positive has been an influence. It has really helped. And she just looks fabulous even though she’s been having chemotherapy.”
