According to ITV, Delta Goodrem’s mother Lea rushed her daughter to a Los Angeles hospital after the singer’s temperature soared. Doctors were able to successfully treat a virus that Delta’s immune system could not fight due to her on going treatment for Hodgkin’s disease. A spokesperson for the Goodrem family explained: “It was pretty serious, both Delta and Lea were really shaken by the whole thing. Delta’s still very weak and she knows there’s still a long way to go before she’s back to full fitness. This has been a nasty reminder of that.”
