Details Behind Jacko’s 45th Birthday Bash

Heidi Collins of CNN Live Today spoke with Michael Corbett of Extra about the 45th birthday celebration for Michael Jackson. Asked what the King of Pop did during his speech to the audience, Corbett said, “He came down onto the stage. He did a little costume change backstage first, and then came out to the stage. Talked a lot about — first about his year, some of the problems that he had with Sony. He also talked about — really basically thanking the audience for supporting him in this time as well as some of the projects that he’s going to be taking on this year. He’s talked about he’s going to be launching a clothing line. He’s going to be launching a resort or resort hotel. He ‘s also do some short films and a feature film this year. September 2, 2003 – Access Hollywood was on hand for Michael Jackson’s 45th birthday bash at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend. Brian McKnight was lucky enough to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to the King of Pop and said afterwards, “This is amazing… to be able to sit there and sort of watch him react to people who, just like me and just like everyone else, have grown up listening to Michael and sort of idolizing Michael.”
