Does Simpson Just Act Ditzy, Or Is She Just Out To Lunch?
Christopher Kelly of Knight Ridder Newspapers spoke with the stars of ‘The Dukes Of Hazzard’, coming away impressed with the intelligence shown by Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville, but not so much with Jessica Simpson. “I wish I could report that, in person, Jessica Simpson is a sparkling wit,” Kelly writes. “Alas, the highlight of our interview was when she mispronounced the word ‘memorable’ as ‘memorables’ – and then giggled and corrected herself, and then paused and looked around the room, almost as if she were hoping a camera had captured her adorable gaffe.” He added, “With her short, declarative sentences and her easily distracted manner, you can never quite tell if Simpson is acting in the interview or just out to lunch. But the longer you sit across from her, the more you realize it doesn’t much matter.”
