‘Dreadful’ Is More Like It

Jim Farber of the New York Daily News blasted the debut solo album by last season’s ‘American Idol’ champ Kelly Clarkson. Farber says of ‘Thankful’, “‘Dreadful’ is more like it. Imagine the dullest cuts on a Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera record sung by someone at a theme park outside Dubuque, Iowa. The material hews close to those singers’ favored mix of faux R&B, gospel and pop.”
