Duff’s ‘Material Girls’ Opens August 18th, Still No Trailer

Hilary Duff checked in with fans on her blog at AOL’s KOL service on Thursday (July 27). “I have soo much to tell you! I missed u guys last week but I’m back to keep you posted,” Duff writes. “I am in Canada doing a brief tour. St John’s was a cool concert. The show sold out in 10 minutes, so we did another one! The fans are awesome. I can’t wait to go back. Halifax and London were fun too and I’m doing Toronto this evening. It is always a good show. I am on my way to Much Music to talk about my new movie ‘Material Girls’ which opens on August 18th. My sister Haylie stars in it with me! Toronto is like a second home to me, I love the people and it reminds me of a cleaner New York. Oh yeah, if you can get to New York to see Hairspray, you should! I am not just saying that because Haylie is in it. The acting, dancing and singing were spectacular! I was in awe. I wish that I had the time to do Broadway! It’s a must see! I’ll see ya next week.” Many fans hoping the film will do well have expressed concern that a trailer still hasn’t been made available less than 1 month from the release date.
