Early Christmas Wishes For The Stars and Once-Stars
Everytime I read the names of the following recording stars and once-stars on Popdirt, because they’re the ones I love to love, love to hate, simply love or once loved. Since Christmas is just around the corner, I’ve decided to declare a truce (read: I won’t say anything bad on those I hate and used to love until after Christmas) and make my Christmas wishes for the following:
*Madonna – that she’ll get rid of Mirwais and her association with Britney Spears, do melodic songs like she used to, stick to her mature, ideal mother image and act her age.
*Britney Spears – that she’ll get rid of her association with Madonna and her emulation of Madonna and be her own artist. Hope that she finally understands that artistic maturity means coming up with songs with melody, substance and social or spiritual depth, NOT sex. Hope she gets rid of her mother too and learn to stand on her own.
*Thalia – STOP emulating J.Lo, producing junk for K-Mart, singing in English, and wearing that stupid red string that makes you look like the Madonna-wanna-be that you were and are. START doing telenovelas, singing in Spanish again. Por pabor!
*Celine Dion – that she’ll put on weight. You’re beautiful when you actually have flesh in your face, you look OLD when you don’t. Keep up the good singing and the good songs, be it in French or English. You’re the best!
*Mandy Moore – stay the way you are!
*Christina Aguilera – two words of warning for you, honey: MARIAH CAREY.
*Mariah Carey – I wish….oh, why would I even waste my time? This one is just simply hopeless….
