Early Figures Show Britney Wasting Competition

Any thoughts that Pink Floyd’s new album would mount any challenge to ‘Britney’ were erased after early figures from Hits magazine show ‘Echoes’ isn’t even getting a 1/4 of the sales that Britney Spears’ latest is. With 20.55% of album sales figures in, ‘Britney’ is selling 172,097 which would put it on pace to sell over 800,000 copies. Enrique Iglesias’ ‘Escape’ is holding the #2 spot currently but far behind with 46,313 sales so far. Still, that figure is remarkable given it would be on pace to eclipse week 1 sales, an almost unheard of occurrence.
